Club Spraíúil is a creative club for kids that explores Irish culture and folklore through the mediums of art, song, dance, and music.
Welcome to the Club!
Spraíúil (pronounced spree-ool) means “playful” in Irish. Club Spraíúil is a playful club where kids can gather with friends to be creative together. Each club meeting has a focus on some aspect of Irish culture or folklore, which will then be brought to life through art. Kids can expect that they will be dancing, singing, and creating arts and crafts together.
Club Spraíúil meets three times a year, once in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. During warm weather, our club meets at The Barn at Hollywood Farm in Annapolis. During the winter months, we will meet at Club Spraíúil’s home studio in Capetowne, in Arnold, MD. Keep scrolling to see our upcoming dates and register for the club!

This Tuesday is an early release day for Anne Arundel County Schools. Send your kid to us after school for an afternoon of seasonal story telling and shadow puppetry. This meeting will be held at Hollywood Farm.
We will be sharing “spooky” fairy stories from our Celtic Mythology For Kids book, which the kids will then retell to you in a little Halloween themed show that they will be producing. There will be live music and a fog machine; and our 6-foot crankie theater will be installed again at Hollywood Farm! Your kids will be making their puppets and planning out their storytelling during the club meeting.
Parents, family, and friends can arrive at the barn at 5:30 pm for a kid-friendly “spooky” Halloween evening show.

Campa Spraíúil is a week-long day camp for kids that promotes Irish folklore, culture, and heritage through music, art, and dance.
Our summer camp is held at The Barn on Hollywood Farm.
Camp directors, Catherine Brice and Amy Healey, have thoughtfully crafted a new Summer camp for 2026. We are looking forward to sharing our love for Irish music, dance, art, and culture with kids in Maryland.
Camp hours are 9am-4pm Monday through Friday. The week culminates in a kid-produced concert/event on Friday at 7:30pm for family and friends to enjoy. Our week is spent helping the campers plan, produce, and execute the Friday evening show.
Our camps are geared for kids, age 8-15.
Campa Spraíúil 2025 and 2026 were so much fun! Be on the look out for information about Summer camp 2027 in the new year. Check out our gallery and parent reviews below!
What People Are Saying…
“Last week, [our daughter] was lucky enough to experience the most magical summer camp that transported her to Ireland while she learned to dance, play the tin fiddle, folklore, created an entire set, and performed a full blown performance at the end of the week! The backdrop of the camp was @hollywoodfarm which is such a hidden gem in this area and I never wanted to leave at drop off. @annapolispercussivedance thank you for the beautiful and memorable week for our girl! She’s been dancing around the kitchen all week!”

“Ireland Camp is wonderful! Annapolis Percussive Dance has several summer camps centered around Irish cultural activities. My 12 year old daughter attended the ‘Mummers, Wren boys and other uninvited guests’ camp last summer and absolutely loved it! The camp culminated in an amazing variety show including Irish dance, storytelling/acting and various other creative activities, that had the audience enthralled! The camp organizers are fantastic. Highly recommend”
